Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Uganda wildlife Safari in Murchison falls NP.

You will be picked by the safari guide from your hotel and you start your transfer to Murchison falls national park. You will also travel by road with lunch on the way before reaching the park. You will then take a tour to the top of the falls as the first activity in the park; this hike will also take you up to the water edge where you will have the opportunity to get close to the narrow gorge through which this river explodes into the falls. You will after proceed to the lodge for your overnight and Dinner.

Day 2: Murchison falls national park Uganda safaris

Have breakfast and after take an early morning game drive to view the early risers, you will be able to view many animals on the Buligi, Albert and Queen’s track north of the River Nile and you will be accompanied by the guide. Wildlife in Queen Elizabeth includes elephant, Rothschild giraffe, Jackson hartebeest, lions, oribis, waterbucks and other game on the grassy hillsides. After that, you will return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a boat cruise on the Nile where you will view many species of animals including; hippos, crocodiles and other park residents.

Day 3: Murchison falls – fort portal

After enjoying your breakfast, you will start your transfer to Kibale national park which is also a long and rewarding journey to those interested in scenery viewing and the African homes locally built. You will arrive at the park in the evening.

Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale or Chimpanzee guest house

Day 4: kibale national park & bigodi swamp

You will begin with a cup of coffee in the morning, then head to the headquarters to get briefed about the trek, then you will start your trekking experience in the tropical rain forest in search for the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch we will take a guided nature walk to Bigodi Swamp, an initiative under the surrounding communities of Kibale.  Bigodi swamp is famous to tourist because of its rich variety of bird species and primates like the red tailored monkeys, black and white colobus and grey cheeked mangabey.

Day 5: kibale – Queen Elizabeth national park

Have a cup of coffee in the morning, and after drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, this journey will take you through the historical Kasese town with the clear view of the mountains of the moon. You will also enjoy a game drive on your way to the accommodation facility in the middle of the park which provides a chance to spot many animals like waterbucks, warthogs and other wildlife. After having your lunch, you will proceed to Kazinga channel to take a boat cruise. Its shores attract a large number of birdlife, mammals and reptiles year around. The boat cruise on Kazinga channel is a must visit for all tourists visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth national park

You will begin with a game drive in the morning towards the mating grounds of the kobs, we look for the great residents of the park, and these include the lions, elephants, buffaloes and early risers, before transferring at the lodge for lunch. After lunch, go on with our safari after with a guided nature walk to Maramagambo Forest. Here you will visit the bat cave and the blue lake you may also see other primates and bird species in the forest.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth national park – Bwindi Gorilla Park

You will have a morning breakfast and after transfer for chimpanzee trekking safari in Kyambura gorge. You will enjoy a walk in to the gorge of the river which is a home for the chimpanzees in search for the apes which are man’s closest relatives. This hike is also a stunning down the valley with a variety of birds and butterfly. Immediately after the trek, we shall continue to Bwindi gorilla forest park passing through the traditional homes and locally built.

Arrive Bwindi and overnight stay at Gorilla Resort or Buhomma community bandas.

 Day 8: Gorilla safari bwindi

You will wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to greater experience.by 8:00, you will report to the headquarters for a briefing by the rangers as well as registration. The guides will then lead you to track the gorillas through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth and the thick creepers. And when the gorillas are sighted, the visitors will be guided to within 6 meters of them and you will have a chance to sit around these great apes for a whole hour looking into their big eyes. These big giants are also powerful and can sometimes weigh over 250 kilograms. The visitors also require a reasonable degree of fitness as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, since the trek can take from half an hour to 6 hours depending on the movement of these lovely primates. You will have your packed lunch after the trek.

Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 9: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

Have a morning cup of coffee and take a community walk around Buhoma. This walk will take you to the neighboring communities of Bwindi, Also have a chance to get involved in activities like the traditional dances and cooking this walk will enable you to see the life style and the culture of the communities. You will have lunch and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in kabale with many bird species and that’s why it acquired the name it is also the deepest lake in Uganda. You will take canoe ride to the various islands in the evening.

Dinner and overnight stay Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi overland camp/ Bushara Island.
Day 10: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

You will take breakfast at you’re your lodge and after enjoy a number of activities for you to do, you may visit the local markets in Kibale, Visit plantations, community walk to see the life style of people in Africa, go birding on the lake since the Lake is a home to many birds, play volley or go swimming in the evening.  Later transfer to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

 Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo national park

Have breakfast and after depart to Lake Bunyonyi and travel to Lake Mburo National park, this park is a very special place, every part of it has variety of animals. It contains an extensive area of the wetland. The animals found here include; zebras, impalas, elands, topi, and buffaloes. The bird population includes the rare shoebill stork. Its sculptured landscape with rolling grassy hills and idyllic lakeshore has a varied mosaic of habitants, forest galleries, rich acacia tree valleys, seasonal, and permanent swamps which all support a wealth of wildlife. You will also check in at your lodge, have lunch and after proceed for a boat cruise on the lake were you will view many animals including the crocodiles, hippopotamus, and plant species.

Day 12: Lake Mburo national park – Kampala

The last day of the safari will end with a game drive in Lake Mburo before travelling to Kampala. The park is also endowed with many animal species for wildlife viewing and some of the animals include; waterbucks, topis, zebras and warthogs.  Travel to Kampala after the game drive with a stopover at the equator and Mpambile drum makers for crafts. Arrive Kampala late afternoon.
