Day 1: Arrival in Kigali City

You will be welcomed by our tour guide on arrival at the Kigali International Airport, who will transfer you to your booked Lodge, you first go for a city to see craft shops and the Genocide Memorial among tourist sites.

Day 2: Driving to Nyungwe Forest National Park

This morning we start our journey to Nyungwe forest. We shall have our breakfast and later on start our drive. We shall visit some of the historical sites like the Excellent National Museum of Rwanda, National University of Rwanda and the Institute of Scientific Research in Huye (Butare). Overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking

In the morning we shall head to the Park office for briefing, a chimpanzee guide will be allocated to you and you start right way to hike. Retiring from our chimpanzee tracking we head back to the lodge for lunch and relax for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge.

Day 4: A Drive to Lake Kivu (Gisenyi)

After breakfast we shall drive for our Wildlife Safaris in Lake Kivu, This lake is framed by banks which fall back steeply from rugged masses of rock and at the rear the stately summits of eight Virunga volcanoes” Declared by the Duke of Mecklenburg in 1907. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel Lake Kivu.

Day 5: Lake Kivu Tour

This morning we shall visit Napoleon’s hut and Amahoro “peace” Islands where you shall observe plenty of nature including colonies of bats, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Later return to the Hotel for lunch and the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the beach. Dinner and Overnight at Serena Lake Kivu.

Day 6: Drive to Volcanoes National Park

This morning we start with having our breakfast and drive from Gisenyi driving north western Rwanda – Musanze district, along the route sighting of various hills and of course the view of five volcanoes in the background, Karisimbi at 4507m, Bisoke, Sabinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura, the virungas are one of the most beautiful sights in both Rwanda and the entire of Africa. Lunch, Dinner and overnightat Le Bambou gorilla Lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking at Volcanoes National Park

Early heavy breakfast and off to the park office for
general briefing and Gorilla groups allocation, and then we start our hike. Gorilla Tracking can sometime be a challenge it need a maximum fitness. We shall retire to our booked hotel for lunch Dinner and overnight Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali (Airport)

During the genocide, in a span of 100 days an estimated one million Tutsis and moderate Hutus were butchered by the Intarahamwe in one of the most savage genocides in history. After an early lunch 12:30 we shall drive to Kigali, visiting the Kigali Genocide memorial centre and Museum of Natural History which was a residence of a Germany explorer Richard Kandt in 1907 and later in the afternoon transfer to the airport depending on the time of your flight.
