On this Uganda safari, we shall visit Lake Mburo national park, Bwindi National Park for Mountain Gorilla Tour and Queen Elizabeth National park vis Isasha for Tree climbing Lions. A game drive and a boat cruise were at Kazinga Channel to view many animals including the hippos, crocodiles, bird species as well as buffaloes.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Kampala / l. Mburo national park

ZebrasThis day will start with your early breakfast and the drive from your hotel in Kampala and head for your start the day private safari at Lake Mburo. The journey to Lake Mburo will take you through the lovely  Ugandan villages and towns. The Vegetation is green throughout your journey this simply describes why Uganda is referred to as a gifted by nature country. You are in the heart of Africa – Uganda. We provide drinking water throughout your drive -your safari guide is there to answer any question please feel free to ask you are on a Wildlife safari with Insight Safari Holidays. You will be in the park before 11am; you will right away start with a game drive to see the wildlife at Lake Mburo. On this morning game drive you will see animals like elands, buffaloes, zebras, and impalas along with great birds of different types, the surrounding savannah with its slopes and hills.  Transfer to your accommodation check in then lunch. A boat ride on Lake Mburo – a tranquil cruise along the lake, crocodiles, hippos, bush buck, various otters, birds overhead and in the jungle, a nice feeling on a lovely afternoon at the Lake with a cruise. Leisurely evening at your lodge dinner and of night in wilderness. Have a lovely night!

Day 2:  Travel to bwindi national park

Horseback riding and travel back to Kampala

Early risers- this morning will start with African tea at your lodge. You then head for a game drive and horseback riding safari in the African Jingles for one hour before you travel Bwindi National Park. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda with horseback riding safari packages. The ride will take you through the African jungle and encounter antelopes, buffaloes, Zebras; at close range while sited at the back of a horse. You will later travel Bwindi National park .

Day 3: Gorilla tracking
Gorillas

A while waiting day for your gorilla Tracking. You will wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to greater experience.by 8:00, you will report to the headquarters for a briefing by the rangers as well as registration. The guides will then lead you to track the gorillas through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth and the thick creepers. And when the gorillas are sighted, the visitors will be guided to within 6 meters of them and you will have a chance to sit around these great apes for a whole hour looking into their big eyes. These big giants are also powerful and can sometimes weigh over 250 kilograms. The visitors also require a reasonable degree of fitness as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, since the trek can take from half an hour to 6 hours depending on the movement of these lovely primates. You will have your packed lunch after the trek.

Day 4; Travel to queen Elizabeth

This is day for Uganda Wildlife Safaris and game viewing. After your breakfast, you might have an optional activity before driving to the Queen Elizabeth national, this might also be a community walk in Bwindi Park. You may also take part in some of the local activities like digging and harvesting Tea. After the cultural walk we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for the wildlife trip and game viewing safari. The journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park will take through the unique and attractive southern sector of the park, known as Ishasha and famous the rear tree-climbing lions not located in other parks of Uganda. Before we reach our lodge we may a wildlife antelopes, buffalo, warthogs and Elephants.

 Dinner and overnight at luxury Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Game tour / boat trip on kazinga channel

Early in the morning after taking breakfast, you will proceed to the park for a game drive in the park in search for the early risers. You will have an opportunity to view many animals including; buffaloes, elephants, lions and other more wildlife before retiring to your lodge for Lunch. Boat trip along the Kazinga channel will be the highlight for your afternoon tour.  The Kazinga channel offers a good spot for birders with a variety of bird species. Animals to see include school of hippos, buffaloes, warthogs and elephants. In the evening you can take an night game drive.

Day 6: Drive back to Kampala

Have breakfast in the morning, and after go for a drive as you prepare for a stopover at Mbarara for lunch reaching Kampala in the afternoon.
