Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

On arrival to Entebbe airport, our tour guide will be waiting to take you to your hotel accommodation. You will rest, have dinner and this is where you will spend your first night.


Day 2: Journey to Murchison Falls

After your breakfast in the morning, your safari will officially begin. Our tour guide will pick you from your hotel and will take you to Murchison Falls National Park located in the Northwestern part of Uganda. Before you arrive at Murchison Falls, you will have time to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will catch a glimpse of the rhinos. You will also have a lunch stop along the journey before you get to Murchison Falls. This game park is quite huge, with an area of around 3.8km. Its name is derived from the murchison falls on Lake Victoria. You will have an unforgettable experience at the game park, seeing the Nile squeeze through a 7-meter canyon. As it falls, it roars with a thunderous roar and also creates a beautiful rainbow in the plume of water droplets. This is a scene to look forward to. Its one of the safari highlights. You will spend your night and have dinner at Paraa Safari Lodge /Red Chilli Rest Camp


Day 3: Boat Cruise on the Nile

After breakfast in the morning, our guide will take you for a Murchison Falls game drive where you will see hippos, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, water bucks, lions and Uganda kobs, a variety of bird species and even leopards if you’re lucky. After your lunch, you our guide will lead you to a 2 hour boat cruise on the river Nile where you will catch amazing sights. Rest assured of seeing the hippos and crocodiles at a close range along the riverbanks. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and night.


Day 4: Journey to Fort Portal (close to Rwenzori Mountain Ranges)

After your breakfast in the morning, your journey from Murchison Falls National Par will begin. You will travel southwest to a city called Fort Portal through Hoima. Fort Portal is a warm, quiet and green town located in the shadow if Rwenzori mountain ranges. You will then stop over for lunch at any hotel of your choice. You will then proceed from there to Mweya Safari lodge or any other accommodation (as organized). You may go through the Queen Elizabeth National Park for sightseeing along the way.


Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your breakfast in the morning, out tour guide will take you for a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the game drive, you will see different wildlife including elephants, lions, buffaloes, warthogs and antelopes. After the drive, you will head back to your accommodation where you will relax while you wait for lunch. In the afternoon, there’s another exciting 2-hour boat cruise activity on the Kazinga Channel. You’ll be able to see a variety of bird species, hippos, water biucks, crocs and many other animals. After that, you’ll head to the crater lakes region to see the beauty of Uganda. You’ll then be taken back to your hotel for dinner.


Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge

After an early morning snack, you will carry your breakfast and lunch (packed) as you travel to Kyambura gorge, which is 16 km long and 100 meters deep within the rift valley for a walk in the forest in search of habituated chimpanzees and other wildlife. Walking sticks are available if you need them. After this interesting natural forest walk, you will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Maramagambo and Ishasha. You will then spend your night at any of these accommodations: Bwindi Gorilla Resort / Nkuringo Lodge or Kisoro Tourist Hotel


Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
After breakfast in the morning & briefing from the safari guides, you’ll start your journey into the thick forest searching for the mountain gorillas. Please remember to carry some drinking water, a rain jacket and jungle boots. The game rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is a major highlight in any safari to Uganda (the pearl of Africa) but its also a bit tiresome. It takes between 2 – 9 hours to find the gorillas depending on their movement. You can then enjoy these giants and also take photos of them. After the gorilla trekking activity, our safari guide will take you to Kabale and you’ll dine and spend your night at Acadia Cottages.


Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi Scenery Safari
After your early breakfast, our safari guide will transport you to Bunyonyi where you’ll enjoy a 2 hour boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. Here, you’ll see various species of birds and islands. You will not miss the beautiful scenery of Lake Bunyonyi. You will also get some time to study the culture of the Bakiga. After this activity, our safari guide will transport you to Kampala. You will stop in Mbarara to have lunch, and at the Equator for photo taking and shopping. You’ll get to Kampala in the evening. You will stay at any of the listed accommodations: Speke Hotel / Golf Course Hotel (luxury)/ Tourist Hotel (mid-range) / The Lodge Kampala


Day 9: End of the Safari
Our safari guide will pick you from your hotel and will take you to Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
