Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Rwanda!

You will be picked up from  Kigali Airport and drive to your hotel. In case you arrive early in the day, you will go for the Kigali city tour to see the craft markets to browse amongst the pottery, carvings, batik, weaving, sculpture, musical instruments, leather, and fabrics on offer. Today activities are at your cost.

Day 2 - 3 : Tour to Genocide memorial, and drive to Volcanoes National park

Your tour guide will drive you to of the Mountain Gorilla. You shall stay at one of the lodges known for its tranquility and views. Drive to Kigali City to visit the Gisozi Genocide memorial site for a historical firsthand account of the genocide that claimed more than 1,000,000 people in the 1990s. You will retire to the Hotel of your booking for dinner and overnight.

Your guide will drive you to the Rwandais du Tourisme et Des Parc Nationaux (ORTPN). The head ranger of the ORTPN will divide you into groups based on interest and fitness. From here your driver/guide will take you as close as possible to the starting point of your tracking.

After breakfast headquarters for a briefing at 7:30 am about trekking the Mountain Gorilla. You will head into the forest with the help of an experienced ranger, The trek takes between 2 – 8 hours and you will be given one hour to watch the Mountain Gorillas once sighted.

Day 4: Welcome to Tanzania!

Early morning your tour guide will drive Kigali airport for your flight to Tanzania. Your flight is 19: 35 PM and you will arrive in Kilimanjaro at 22: 15 PM, where your guide will meet and take you to your hotel.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

Morning breakfast and go for a game drive, you will drive to ‘Mto Wa Mbu’. The bustling farming community of Mto Wa Mbu is home to around 18,000 people. On this walk, this place in Tanzania is not visite by many people, yet there is a lot to explore especially people who are interested in culture. You will find a melting pot of cultures; Mto Wa Mbu is one of the places found in Tanzania with a collection of 120 tribes staying together. You will also visit the farms and the milling machines, the schools, markets, and churches. You’ll likely visit the village banana plantation as well as a youth art project, and a wood workshop where you can watch skilled Makonde tribe members carve intricate figurines, masks, and household objects.

Day 6 - 7: The Serengeti/ Game drives in Serengeti National Park

Start the morning with a game drive the Serengeti National Park. The ward Serengeti in Masai Language means “endless plains”  You will drive into the park to see millions of wildebeest migrating, This is referred to as Great Migration, following the ancient rhythm of Africa’s seasons. This is one of the most impressive natural events in the world. retire for dinner and overnight.

This new day, start with having breakfast, Your guide will drive you to the park to see animals closely. You will see the thrill of the chase.  a magical time, with the subtle light dappling the landscape, the birds awakening, and the sense of a great adventure beginning to unfurl. You visit the heart of the Serengeti, Seronera Valley. This valley is often termed as the ‘classic’ Serengeti; short grass plains with all different kinds of wild animals ranging from the impressive lion to the naughty mongoose. These full-day safaris are the best way to see the full range of what this magnificent park has to offer.

Day 8: Last Day in the Serengeti

Your guide will drive through the beautiful Serengeti and continue to the Ngorongoro Crater. After lunch, you will go for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater! This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. There are very few places in the world where you can find such a large population of wildlife throughout the year. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, you will spot ‘The Big 5’: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, and cheetah, jackal, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, flamingo and bat-eared foxes, as well as approximately 400 species of a colourful bird.

Day 9: Departure

We have come to the end of your trip with Arrive Africa SAfaris! Your tour guide will take care of your transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport.

This 9 days tour will take to Volcanoes National park for Mountain Gorilla trekking in Rwanda and visiting the Genocide memorial in Kigali, You will also visit explore the National parks in Tanzania to see the wild in their habitat.  You will visit Lake Manyara or Tarangire National park, The famous Serengeti and the Ngorogoro Crater.

Arumeru River Lodge
The lodge is located exactly half way between Kilimanjaro airport and Arusha town, roughly one kilometer from the main road, in a unique protected area. It is established on a property of seven hectares and fenced on its outer perimeters. In the gorgeous gardens, you can observe dik-diks, monkeys and a large amount of bird species.The lodge benefits of the view on the Kilimanjaro and the Mount Meru.
Escarpment Luxury Lodge
Perched high on the rim of the Great Rift Valley, Escarpment Luxury Lodge is a serene haven overlooking the wonder of Lake Manyara below. Offering 16 private, tastefully decorated chalets.
Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp
Situated 37 km from Serengeti Visitor's Centre Seronera, Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp offers a restaurant, a bar and accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. Guests at the tented camp can enjoy a buffet breakfast. Nyamara Kopjes is 38 km from Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp, while Thach Kopjes is 44 km from the property.
Ngorogoro Farm house
Hand plaited thatched roof tops, ample verandas and colonial interiors at Ngorongoro Farm House, a small and exclusive hotel built on a 500 acre coffee plantation, all of which has been designed to take you to the comfort and style of past times.
