Let an Arrive Africa Safaris tour guided give you a warm Uganda welcome when you exit the Arrivals airport terminal and be escorted to your chartered private plane located either at Entebbe airport or Kajjansi airstrip for the flight to Kihihi airport. Take a short drive to Lake Mburo national park where you will check-in at your lodge then head out for horse ride game drive and a walking safari.

Awake early to drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before you set off for the gorilla tracking experience. A guide will take you down well-maintained trails in the Bwindi forest as you look out for the gorilla family you will track that morning. When found, the guide will let you, while at 6 meters distances from the mountain gorillas, sit in silence and watch these creatures go about their day. View them hunt for fruits, tree bark, insects, see them play, groom hygienically, eat, communally. The mountain gorilla tracking can last 1-6 hours or more depending on what the gorilla family is up to that morning. Remember, no flash photography, no feeding the animals or mimicking their sounds. 

After possible late lunch, go on a cultural tour to visit the Batwa pygmies of the forest. See them dance, sing, hear folklore about the Bwindi forest that is their home. Enjoy their cultural memorabilia and shop for arts and crafts.

Enjoy a morning game drive through the park and see the wild savannah of Queen Elizabeth national park rise for the day around you. As you drive through the well-maintained drive tracks, watch elephants, buffalos, warthogs, hyenas, move from their sleeping places to hunting and grazing grounds.

In the afternoon, get on the Kazinga Channel for a boat ride after lunch. While on the boat ride, you can buy drinks to accompany your sightseeing hours. While on the Kazinga Channel, its shores will have hippos, crocodiles cooling off in the water, see elephants, kobs, and buffalos drink from the shores. Birders can see some bird species while on this boat ride too.

Head to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking where these chimpanzees live deep in the rain forest. View and walk by the River Kyambura as you zero in on the wild apes’ habitat to and see the birds that stay close to the gorge. You will see other primates in the forest during the chimpanzee trekking like baboons, white colobus monkeys, and vervet monkeys.

In the morning, be driven to Pakuba airport where you will get onto a private chartered plane to Entebbe airport or to Kajjansi airstrip.
