Itinerary

Day 1&2: Road trip from Kampala to Bwindi national park, Mountain Gorilla tracking

An Arrive Africa Safaris’ tour guide will welcome you at the Entebbe airport or pick you from your hotel and drive you using the Masaka- Mbarara highway through the Kigezi hills to Kisoro. You will arrive at your accommodation option venue in the evening. Rest for the next day.

Dress appropriately for the trekking experience; gloves, long pants, light but waterproof clothes. Have an early breakfast and be driven to park headquarters for briefing then head into the Bwindi forest in search of the mountain gorillas, trek through the densely populated area and walk carefully down the slippery slopes. The tracking might last 1-9 hours depending on what time you find the gorilla family you will be tracking. You will, when you see the gorillas, be able to watch them play, feed, hunt, relate with each other. After you can return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Travel to Lake Mburo national park

After a hot morning meal, start the drive to Lake Mburo national Park with a stop-over for lunch in Mbarara town. When you arrive at Lake Mburo in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo as a way to see animals rest by the lake shores and see different bird species that live close to water. Go for a late evening game drive to see wild game especially the zebras and impalas. Retire to your hotel and rest for the evening.

Day 4: Wildlife walk and return to Kampala

Take on the wildlife walk where you will have a park guide walk you around the national park as you see animals and plants, like zebras, impalas, elands, antelopes, buffaloes. Soon after, set off through Lyatonde to Kampala with a stop-over at the Equator for quick local authentic Ugandan arts and crafts. Spend the night at the hotel AA Safaris will have reserved for you.

Day 5: Kampala city tour

Enjoy a city tour which lets you see some of the unique places that make Kampala stand out from other towns in Uganda. An AA Safaris’ tour guide will pick you after breakfast and take you through the well maintained road shortcuts to see Uganda Museum, Bahai Temple, Kasubi tombs, Uganda Martyrs Namugongo. Then after you will be dropped off at the Entebbe airport for your flight to home.

Expectations

This tour starts with you going into the wild to see its inhabitants and all through you will be with animals and plants surrounding you, giving you a tranquility only mother nature gives then towards the end of the 5 day tour, you will explore the hustle and bustle within the capital city of Uganda and other attractions in Kampala.
