On this adventure, you will have the opportunity to take a horseback game ride through the jungle. As you ride your horse, you will be accompanied by a variety of wild animals such as zebras, impalas, elephants, and buffalos as they roam and graze.
Afterwards, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will be treated to breathtaking views of the western arm of the East African Rift Valley. You may choose to stop and take photos along the way.
When you arrive at your accommodation for the night, you will be up early the next morning for a guided tour of the park. You will be taken to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a trek to see the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. It is important to remember to be quiet and respectful while observing the gorillas, as loud noises and flash photography can startle them. You should also refrain from mimicking gorilla sounds or feeding them. During the trek, which can last anywhere from one to six hours, you will have the chance to watch the gorillas go about their daily activities such as eating, hunting, and playing with each other.
After the trek, you will have lunch before embarking on a primate walk to see some of the 13 different primate species that reside in Bwindi forest, including baboons, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, red tailed monkeys, and Colobus monkeys.
On request, you may also have the opportunity to visit the two crater lakes in the park: Lake Kyasanduka and Lake Nyamasingiri.
