Day 1: Soaring to the Masai Mara for an Afternoon Game Drive Adventure

Start your adventure with AA Safaris as an AA Safaris representative picks you up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and takes you to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve. The flight will take about 45 minutes to an hour.

Upon arrival, a representative from the camp or lodge will meet you and take you on a long game drive in search of the Big 5 animals of the wild. The Masai Mara Game Reserve, located on the border with Tanzania, offers the possibility of witnessing the Great Migration of wildebeest between the Serengeti and Masai Mara national parks during the months of July and October. You will also see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes, and lions relaxing in the Mara River, which runs through the center of the reserve.

You’ll be staying at the luxury Mara Serena Safari Lodge, located in the center of the Mara Triangle in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This family-friendly lodge is situated on a hill overlooking the African savannah and the Mara River. The rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a bathroom with shower, TV, and mosquito nets. Enjoy the spa, outdoor pool, and fitness center at the lodge, and take in the stunning views from your room, which overlooks the Mara River.

Day 2: A Full Day of Wildlife Exploration"

Experience the wild in its entirety with a full day of game drives on Day 2. The game drives will begin before sunrise, allowing you to witness nocturnal predators preparing to rest after their night hunt and eat. Throughout the day, you will be taken on different trails that will offer you the opportunity to sight a wide variety of wild game. Whether it’s big cats, elephants, antelopes, or other animals, you’ll have a chance to see them all in their natural habitat.

In the evening, return to the lodge for a relaxing meal in the restaurant while you watch animals come to the Mara River to drink water. Get ready for an action-packed day of exploring the Masai Mara Game Reserve and coming face-to-face with the incredible wildlife that call it home.

Day 3: Farewell to the Wild, Time to Depart

As your adventure in the wild comes to an end, your lodge guide will escort you to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. An AA Safaris tour guide will be there to greet you at Wilson Airport and transport you to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your international departure. Please ensure that your international flight is scheduled for after 4 PM. If you would like to spend an additional night in Nairobi, please let your AA Safaris tour consultant know and they will arrange it for an additional cost.
